About the Remix

This morning I got the assignment for my first ever remix! I was absolutely terrified that I'd sit staring blankly at the computer for the next week, but mercifully inspiration has hit, and I'm about two thirds of the way through my first draft. That doesn't mean much, though, because I'll probably change the whole thing at least six times before I'm happy with it. Still, it's a huge relief: I've been lying awake worrying about the remix.
I do have a problem with posting, which I'll probably take up on LJ. Not that I'm anywhere near there yet, but I'm not quite sure I understand the procedure. I certainly don't want to screw up a whole sockpuppet journal... :(
I'm also worried that whoever gets me will be fazed by the vast amount of fic available. I may think of it as a big sweetshop, but an outsider will probably be rather daunted. I just hope I'm assigned to someone on my list, who'll have an idea, however vague, of what's available. I should probably write a letter to my remixer, but will leave it for now.

*blushes* That is really incredibly sweet of you! :) I'm just hoping my remixer will find something she'll enjoy working with. Assuming it's a she of course!

Date: 2009-06-15 04:34 am (UTC)The posting thing is easy. You log into the sockpuppet account they told you about in your assignment email (they give you the password) and post the story with the header they posted on the comm. Then you tag accordingly. If you want, check out past posts to see how they're done.
